You can learn to fly without unnesessaryunnecessary crashes!
First you should know how a plane flies.
Go to How planes fly page. And read the underlined text if you dontdon't want to read all of it.
Now to choose the right plane
Choose a plane that has it's wings mounted on top. The best choices are parkflyers, gliders, slow-flyersslow-fliers or Non- gliders (planes that are powered). CHOOSE THE PLANES THAT ARE ADVERTISED AS TRAINERS.
Checking the plane.
Confirm the following corrections are correct before each fly.
- Make sure that the plane is properly balanced fro the point which the planes disignerdesigner indicates MkeindicatesMake sure that there is no warp (ie. when you look from the back of the plane, you should seejustsee just a little bottom of the wing. If you see more bottom of the wing on, let's say right side the plane will nteng to go to the right even when you are holding the control in neutral.
- The wing should have somthingsomething called a washout. Wash out is a dirirable warp at each wing tip.
Fly in a big field at first
DO NOT fly in a small and restricted space at first even if your plane is capable of doing so. Do not try to land at a restricted area. Just let it glide staitstraight ahead.aheadProper take-off
- Speed up until you feel that it can take-off
- Do not give too much elevaterelevator up command as it will result a stall.
- DO not climb steep up! It will stall and probably crash! Climb gently.
Flying tips
- Do not turn when the plane is low.
- Practice gentle turns high in the air.
- Practice landing high up unIN the air to get an idea of the planes stalls (fall- out -of the sky)
- If your plane stalls give a little down elevator and it will level out.
- If you want to tun do not hold the control stick, turn it and leave.
- Beginners planes usually have a built-in tendency to level out when you leave the control stick.
